Club Industry Governance & Leadership Forum
The golf club industry continues to be presented with favourable opportunities. The extent however to which these opportunities can materially impact long term club sustainability will be singularly determined by the quality of governance and decision making evident within golf club Boardrooms.
As GBAS engages with Club General Managers and Club Boards around the country, it is evident however that there is varying levels of quality as governance processes are executed. Having observed first-hand how good, consistent, governance processes can impact both short and long-term club outcomes, and drive quality planning processes, this event again shines a focused light on club governance and how improvements can be made.
Our goal is to keep great governance at the forefront of industry discussion, this driving better outcomes for all and cementing club sustainability.
Club leaders, as both directors and club managers, will gather again to hear from a number of governance and leadership experts who will zero in on our challenges and provide well referenced solutions.
An update to our 2024 Governance Report will be released, this report detailing the current governance state of play. The report also identifies recent club Board turnover levels and the contrasting views held by Club Managers and Club Directors on current governance performance, stability and alignment both being key pillars of good governance.
